Improv Applied to Social Work

Improv has been applied to social work, both in Europe and the USA, with results that are positive for both the individuals and society:

• AIDS / HIV awareness;
• Teenage delinquency.

Any training is only justifiable if there are positive results: a measurable impact. Social programs are easy to denegrate as “a waste of public funds”. Hard numbers are available and some already being collated as part of existing monitoring.

• Reduced letters of complaint;
• Reduced cost to social services, medical services & police;
  • Accident & Emergency statistics;
  • Police arrests, cautions & charges;
• Less reports in the media: newspapers, radio & television.
